Kim Jong-kook has repeatedly declined blind date setups arranged by actress Lee Min-jung, sparking curiosity about the private entertainer's love life.

On the May 29 episode of KBS2's "Problem Child in House," Lee Min-jung shared her experience trying to play matchmaker for Kim Jong-kook.
"My husband [actor Lee Byung-hun] knows Kim Jong-kook. We even had a meal together in the U.S.," she said.
Lee added, "I tried to set Kim Jong-kook up on a blind date. I was very persistent, but he kept refusing."
Kim Jong-kook explained his hesitation toward formal matchmaking, saying, "Blind dates feel uncomfortable. There's this unspoken pressure to follow up. I'm fine with meeting people naturally, but formal setups feel a bit stiff."

Even when Lee Min-jung attempted a more casual introduction, Kim Jong-kook still declined.
"Even when I tried to help him meet someone more naturally, he still said no," she said with a laugh.

The hosts of the show joked that Kim Jong-kook might already be seeing someone.
To close the segment, Lee Min-jung playfully mentioned, "Well, that person [referring to the woman she tried to set him up with] got married and is living happily now."
Kim Jong-kook has maintained a low profile regarding his personal life and has not publicly confirmed any relationship despite numerous dating rumors over the years.
His reluctance to engage in traditional matchmaking has renewed speculation among fans.
