Actor Kim Do Hoon responded to online criticism of a recent press event where he interacted with Karina from Aespa. He said that a viral interpretation of the gesture was wrong.

On February 19, Kim went to the Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo for the production presentation of Netflix's variety show "Agents of Mystery season 2." There, he took a group photo with the whole cast. He was holding Karina's hand on one side and Gabee's hand on the other side during the photo shoot.
Some people who saw the video of the event online said Kim acted inappropriately with Karina's hand. One person even went to the fan community of Kim Do Hoon with a message for the actor, according to AllKpop.
Someone wrote online, "Don't touch Karina."
The Chosun Daily says that Kim Do Hoon used social media to explain what happened during the photo after people criticized him. He answered the accusation directly by saying, "I didn't touch her hand. I was scratching my own finger because it was itchy."
In the video that went around, he is seen moving his finger instead of touching Karina's hand while they were holding hands for the official photo. Many people now say that the controversy was caused by a misunderstanding.
Even though he explained, more comments have kept coming up online. One fan said, "Karina probably dislikes this kind of controversy too."
One viewer wondered why this incident received enough media coverage to become so well known. She asked, "Would Karina even like this kind of attention?"
Many debate on why her behaviour was criticized across the internet. Was there anything wrong with this particular action? Some have defended Kim, while others have said that famous people should be careful about how they look at big events.
A lot of news outlets covered the press event as the latest way to promote "Agents of Mystery season 2," which will be released on Netflix later this year and features the original cast.
