Five Fun Facts About Oh Yoon Ah

Actress Oh Yoon Ah is set to appear in "You're Surrounded," the upcoming SBS drama starring Cha Seung Won, Go Ah Ra, and Lee Seung Gi. She will play Kim Sa Kyung, the former wife of Cha Seung Won's character. He plays a detective in charge of some rookie cops. Her character winds up working in his office and after a promotion becomes the missing persons team manager.

It was a role she really wanted.

"I only just finished my last drama but I had to go for this as it was a good story," said Oh Yoon Ah. "Kim Sa Kyung is a bold and independent female detective with a past."

Last year Oh Yoon Ah played Eun Bi Ryung in "Incarnation of Money."

What else should you know about this actress? Here are a few facts.

1. She began her career as a racing model appearing in motor shows and at racing events. In 200o, she won a Cyber Race Queen Contest. Her appearance as a racing model and her attractive figure earned her a lot of love from male fans.

2. She was an entertainment reporter for MBC's Section TV Entertainment.

3. She's married to a non-celebrity. After only a few months of dating advertising executive Song Hoon she married him at the Imperial Palace Hotel in 2007. They have a son.

4. Film crews and fellow cast members seem to like her. Since she appeared in more than a dozen dramas, she has celebrated more than one birthday on the set of a drama. When she was filming 'Childless Comfort," the cast and crew prepared a surprise party for her. One crewmember even wrapped his body in Christmas lights in honor of her special day. Another danced for her. Fellow actors that were not even due on the set that day showed up.

"I was so touched by everyone," she said.

5. She made her debut in 2000 but it was the 2004 drama "Into the Storm" that earned her national attention. She won the 2004 SBS Network's "Best Supporting Actress" award for her role as Kim Mi Yoon in "Alone in Love," which also starred Son Ye Jin and Gam Wu Sung. She was known for playing smart successful women, including the teacher she portrayed in the 2010 drama "Marry Me Please." Her role in "You're Surrendered" will be yet another smart and successful woman.

"You're Surrounded" will be aired in April after "Three Days."
