Halle Berry has moved from movies to television this summer! The Oscar winning 47 year old "X-Men: Days of Future Past" actress stars next in executive producer Steven Spielberg's science fiction drama television series, "Extant,” which will premiere Wednesday, July 2 at 9:00 PM, ET/PT. Watch the full trailer starring Halle Berry below!

"Extant" is a mystery thriller about a female astronaut, Molly Watts (Berry), who returns home from a 13-month solo mission in outer space. As Watts tries to readjust to her everyday life at home on Earth with her scientist-husband John (Goran Visnjic) and their son, Ethan (Pierce Gagnon), she soon realizes that all may not be as it seems. "I saw something in space," Berry says in the beginning of the trailer. "It was real." She may not have returned alone. Key details about the new series have been kept tightly under wraps but this new trailer reveals some surprising twists. The shocker? Watts has returned from space pregnant! It looks like the baby was conceived in space, which means she might have some explaining to do. “Mom’s different now,” says Ethan to his father.

"Extant" is a co-production of CBS Television Studios and Amblin Television. On August 7, 2013, CBS announced that it had placed a 13-episode straight-to-series order, which means the show is bypassing the pilot stage.

Berry is also currently promoting her film “Frankie and Alice,” a 2010 Canadian drama film directed by Geoffrey Sax which took a few years to hit movie theaters, possibly due to its controversial subject matter. The movie is about the true story about a popular black go-go dancer/stripper Frankie (Berry) in the 1970s who suffers from dissociative identity disorder, caused by a traumatic incident from her childhood. Frankie has two alternative personalities: Genius, a seven-year-old child; and Alice, a Southern white racist woman. With the help of her psychiatrist, Frankie strives to live a life close to normal.
