Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 Rumors: Skye's Origin Hints Of 'Skrull' Parentage [VIDEO] 'Secret Invasion' Or 'Kree-Skrull War' Storylines For Phase 3 Of Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Looks like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has some interesting things to show us or Season 2 as rumors speculate that Skye's origin in the series hints of a "Skrull" parentage and has Marvel been working on a "Secret Invasion" or a "Kree-Skrull War" storyline for Phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

There have been many rumors and theories' surrounding ABC's superhero spy show and one particular character has been the center of that rumor, Shield's rookie agent Skye. A YouTube user by the name of Emergency Awesome uploaded a video that showcases his reviews of the recent episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., its season finale, and Skye's origin. According to him, Skye's parents could possibly be of Skrulls as hinted on past episodes were in Skye herself questions her past and who are her parents, and in recent developments Raina the scientist working for John Garrett a.k.a. the Clairvoyant had a keen interest in Skye's DNA as well as her origins.

In the episode "Nothing Personal" she mentioned to Grant Ward about a story of monsters attacking a village in China. The monsters were searching for their baby, and Raina believes that "baby" is Skye herself. We've already know that the "blue alien" in project T.A.H.I.T.I. is in fact a Kree, so having Skrulls as Skye's parents isn't that farfetched at all.

So far, Marvel hasn't made official statements about the whole Skrull thing, but fans will soon speculate these rumors could happen soon on Season 2 of the show or in Phase 3 movie projects. They may have been starting a "Secret Invasion" or a "Kree-Skrull War" storylines for Phase 3 and if that happens then Marvel's ratings will sky rocket and their reputation cemented.

A little backgrounds on both the Skrulls and the Kree, in the comics the two alien races have been at war for a long time, and they're rivalry has culminated into many conquests from other worlds. The Skrulls are race of green reptilian aliens who have shape shifting powers as they can transform into any person and animal they want and completely undetectable even the from the likes of people with animal keen senses like Wolverine. The Kree however are a race of warriors that have been bred for war for their entire existence.

There war resulted many conflicts within the Marvel universe as heroes such as the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Guardians of the Galaxy and among others have been caught in the crossfire.
