Jessica Pare, star on “Mad Men,” punched a fan for recognizing her.

Pare, who is also nominated for an Emmy for her work on “Mad Men,” told Conan O'Brien recently that she gets very excited when she's recognized on the street. Pare was so enthusiastic when a New York City fan approached her, that she punched the photo-seeker in the shoulder.

The ‘Mad Men’ actress admitted, “I punched her so hard she stumbled back quite a few steps.”

Pare also joined an actress roundtable with the five other contenders for the Best Drama Actress Emmy Award, including Julianna Margulies, Keri Russell, Vera Farmiga, Sarah Paulson and Claire Danes for the Hollywood Reporter this week.

She was asked how afraid she was to perform "Zou Bisou Bisou" on Mad Men.

Pare answered, “I was pretty self- conscious. Before that, the stakes were pretty low; there was not much on the page for the character. Then I came back for season five, and I had to do a literal song-and-dance routine for all these people whose work I'd admired for years. It was horrifying, but they were awesome. I think by take 60, I got comfortable!”

The ‘Mad Men’ star also talked about her fears of the famous show ending, as part of the season 7 will come in 2015.

Pare said ,”I'm terrified because Mad Men is coming to an end, and I'm going back to that place of not having work and not knowing what's next. I seem to be in a different position now, I hope. But to feel like an actor when you're not working is a real struggle. When you don't have something coming out or coming up, it's hard to still feel like you're a creative person.”

She also spoke recently to the NY Post about changes in Megan’s life on the show. She said, ““She felt like all this love and trust that she’s put in him is not a two-way street,” says Paré. “So the last thing she says is, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I can’t be here.’ And she walks out. She feels so duped. It’s such a terrible position to be in.”
