Sofia Vergara recently took to her Instagram to announce her split from fiance Nick Loeb.




Although she wishes to keep her personal life private, Vergara knows that is impossible with her celebrity status. So instead of waiting for the press to out the tragic news, the funny Latina beat them to it.




"Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtful drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have decided to be apart," wrote Vergara on Instagram.




She partially blamed the split on their busy schedules.




"We have been having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together and because of my work and his, it's been getting worse and worse," said Vergara. "Not fun anymore."




The actress insists that she is still great friends with her former lover.




"We are still very close but we believe it is the best thing for us right now," she continued.

Vergara's relationship with Loeb has been somewhat of a mini roller-coaster ride. They started dating in 2010 and split up in 2012. They later patched things up. On Vergara's 40th birthday in Vegas, she got engaged to Loeb.
