The team that made the play "Secret Passage: INTERVAL" posted behind-the-scenes pictures of Kim on their official social media account. The pictures show the actor fully focused on rehearsing for his role as Dong-jae. Fans and onlookers were worried and talked about how Kim looked in the pictures, where he looked very thin and had a sharp jawline.

StarNews said that the rehearsal photos were captioned "Practice photos revealed" and showed how focused Kim was during practice. The outlet said that his noticeably thinner look stood out right away when compared to his recent public appearances.

The attention comes in the middle of a lot of talk about Kim's claims that he set up a family-run performance planning business to avoid paying taxes. According to reports, Kim was the CEO, and his parents were the executive directors and auditors.

People started to ask questions when they found out that the company wasn't registered under the Popular Culture and Arts Planning Act and had the same address as Kim's home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

There were also suspicions that Kim's parents got salaries ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of won through the company account, that a car used by the family was registered in the company's name, and that Kim's father used a corporate card to pay for things like cigarettes, karaoke bars, and entertainment.

Kim's agency, Fantagio, sent out a formal apology on February 4 in response. He talked about the steps he took to fix the problem in the statement. He said, "As a preemptive measure to correct the ignorant operation of the corporation at the time, I have returned all past corporate card usage records, family salaries, and the corporate vehicle."

In the same statement, he also talked about the tax issue. He went on to say, "In addition to the corporate tax already paid, I have paid additional individual income tax for the amount previously settled through the corporation."

Kim also confirmed how the company would close down. He said, "The corporation is currently in the process of closing down, and the administrative procedures will be finalized soon."

Kim ended his apology by saying, "I deeply regret establishing the corporation and maintaining it for over a year without a sufficient understanding of the corporation's operations. I bow my head and offer my sincere apologies."

Naver says that "Secret Passage: INTERVAL" will open on February 13. While rehearsals are going on and the public is still watching, people are still interested in Kim's return to the stage and how he deals with the fallout from the scandal.
