True Detective Season 2: New Plot Details Revealed As Joaquin Phoenix, Christian Bale, And Josh Brolin Are Added To The Cast Rumored!

A new development for True Detective Season 2 has been revealed with new cast members coming to the show.

According to reports from IGN, True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto claimed that season 2 will have an entirely different story in a new setting with different characters.

In a recent interview with the radio program "To the Best of Our Knowledge", Pizzolatto told everyone what to expect in True Detective season 2.

"Right now, we're working with three leads... The characters are all new, but I'm deeply in love with each of them. We've got the entire series broken out with a couple of scripts, and we'll probably start casting in earnest in the coming months."

"...It takes place in California - not Los Angeles, but some of the much lesser known venues of California - and we're going to try to capture a certain psychosphere ambiance of the place, much like we did in season one."

Deadline.com reports that the three new leads that are rumored in season 2 are Joaquin Phoenix, Christian Bale, and Josh Brolin. The website also speculated that Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, and Cate Blanchett may have been added to the show

So far, Oscar-nominee Jessica Chastain is confirmed to join season 2 and season 1 lead actors Matthew McConaughey, and Woody Harrelson will not return to the show.
