"Game of Thrones" season 5 cast Peter Dinklage took advantage of the break in filming to spend time with his family in Toronto, as Shae's death in the season 4 finale at the hands of Tyrion was described as a pivotal moment for the hit HBO show.

In a series of photos published by MailOnline, "Game of Thrones" season 5 cast Peter Dinklage enjoyed time at the park with wife Erica Schmidt and daughter Zelig on Friday. They then strolled around the upscale neighbourhood of Yorkville.

The 44-year-old actor, who stands 4'5" after being born with achondroplasia, gamely hopped on the children slides with her daughter and pushed her on the swing.

However, it's not all play for "Game of Thrones" season 5 cast Peter Dinklage as he is also shooting "Pixels," an adventure movie by Adam Sandler.

Meanwhile, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss talked to Hollywood Reporterabout shae's murder at the hands of Tyrion.

"The murder of Shae, in particular, is emotionally much different than in the book. In the book Shae is a gold-digging prostitute from the beginning. She never loved Tyrion and betraying him came easily for her," David Benioff said.

However, when they auditioned Sibel Kekilli, they changed the script to make her more complex and for the showrunners, "the tragedy is watching these two people trying to kill each other when they love one another."

D. B. Weiss countered: "The preparation for Tyrion's actions at the end of this season has been taking place from the very beginning of the story ... In a world as cruel as his, his family was the one place he could have hoped to find security and support - and from the time he was born, most of his family treated him horribly."

"In the face of this seasons ultimate betrayal-his sister trying to have him murdered and his father backing her up on it-Tyrion decided he was mad as hell and wasn't going to take it anymore," D. B. Weiss told THR.
