J.K. Rowling will now write as Robert Galbraith since the "Harry Potter" author decided to use a pseudonym to make a distinction for her new book releases and her famous boy wizard series.

According to BBC, J.K. Rowling will be known as Robert Galbraith when she writes novels in the crime and investigation genre, and would probably publish more than the Harry Potter series.

"One of the things I absolutely love about this genre is that, unlike Harry, where there was an overarching story, a beginning and an end, you're talking about discrete stories. So while a detective lives, you can keep giving him cases."

"It's not seven. It's more. It's pretty open ended," she said.

J.K. Rowling as Robert Galbraith said that a third novel is now in the works and is "about half-way through the third [novel] and I've just started plotting the fourth."

Recently, J.K. Rowling has attended the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival at Harrogate, England where the critically-acclaimed author hinted that the plot of her upcoming novel will revolve around "what happens when you are in the military," The Telegraph reported.

"The book is quite different," she told an audience. "I have this group of [ex-military] people, who prefer to remain anonymous, who have given me a lot of information."

J.K. Rowling already published two novels as Robert Galbraith, and the third one is believed to be a continuation of the story in the previously published "The Cuckoo's Calling" (2013) and "The Silkworm" (2014), both of which are part of the Cormoran Strike series.

It was revealed that J.K. Rowling was using the pseudonym Robert Galbraith months after the first book, "The Cuckoo's Calling," under the pen name was published. The book skyrocketed to the first position of best-selling books in Amazon right after it was disclosed. The sequel in the series, "The Silkworm," was released just last month.
