One of the most hotly anticipated movies of the year has released another new trailer! The new Interstellar movie trailer shows lead star Matthew McConaughey trying to comfort his daughter in the movie, who is played by Mackenzie Foy. Christopher Nolan's newest movie is a sci-fi drama thriller that has a time travel and worm holes theme, according to reports.

While this new Interstellar movie trailer doesn't show much new footage, it is an IMAX extended trailer, and the visuals are just purely astonishing. The images of space are crisp and clear, and all encompassing and makes us feel that we are right there with the astronauts as they traverse the deepest corners of the universe.

Interstellar video editor Steven Thomas is the man responsible for posting this Interstellar IMAX extended TV spot, which follows Matthew McConaughey's character is an engineer, who is called upon by the government on some top-secret, dangerous mission that will take him to the far-reaches of outer space to look for an inhabitable planet, because we have just about exhausted all our natural resources here on earth.

During the 2014 San Diego Comic-con, director Christopher Nolan himself was on hand to excited audiences for the upcoming movie. "We're trying to show the biggest imaginable phenomenon that exists in the universe," Nolan explained.

He also shared that the inspiration for the movie is derived from the era in which he grew up in, a time "where being an astronaut was the highest ambition. And the idea that we could keep exploring further and further. I felt that has fallen off greatly over the last few decades," Nolan said.

The technology for the movie itself are reportedly cutting edge. But all of it was to serve the purpose of making the film more real. "I'm not going to tell you what [the technology we used is] because I want you to see the film," Nolan said. But if the Interstellar movie trailer just released is any indication, it going to be nothing short of fantastic.

The movie which co-stars Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, and Michael Caine is set to be released on November 7. In the meantime, watch the trailer here:
