When talking to Sway Calloway, Ryan Phillippe revealed his obsession with hip hop.

After being asked who his top five rappers are, the actor went down his playlist naming rappers like Bobby Shmurda, Young Thug, Tyga, Troy Ave, and Migos.

This was followed by Phillippe praising more infamous hip hop artists.

"My favorites, like you know of established cats like Pusha and Lil Wayne," he said. "I like guys I can just listen to. I can't wait for the 'Carter III.' I'm dying for the new Kendrick ."

Phillippe insists that his love for hip hop was always meant to be.

"Even though I am a 40-year-old white dude, at this point I don't think its ever going to go away," he said. "I just love the music. I love the culture. I grew up outside of Philly. At one point, I was one of two white kids in my school so it's just ingrained."

One of his hip hop crooners is Sean P of YoungBloodZ.

"We go get oysters together all the time," said Phillippe about Sean P. "You cannot judge a book by the cover."

When Calloway asked if blunts were included in the actor's bonding time with the rapper, Phillippe said "all bets are off."

To prove how down he is, Phillippe promised, while he is promoting his new ABC show, to come back to "Sway in the Morning" to spit a verse.

"It will be fire," said the "Cruel Intentions" star. "You think I'm kidding. You watch."

Besides declaring his love for hip hop, Phillippe talked about his new movie and directorial debut "Catch Hell," a film about a fading actor who gets kidnapped and tortured by the husband of the woman he is having an affair with.

When making this movie, Phillippe recalled horror stories of friends in the industry.

"A lot of stories came back," he said about his Tinsel Town pals. "Close calls that they had messing around with the wrong girl in the wrong town."
