'The Flash' TV Series Spoilers: SUPERMAN Tom Welling Appearance In Season 2 Hinted By Greg Berlanti? Cisco And Caitlin Rumored To Become Metahumans In The Season Finale!

Some "The Flash" TV series spoilers have been revealed online and it has been rumored that Tom Welling's Superman may appear on the season 2 of the show as allegedly hinted at by Greg Berlanti.

Comic Central City has reported that Greg Berlanti allegedly told reporters some "The Flash" TV series spoilers, reportedly claiming that Superman may appear on the season 2 of the show. The report also notes that this Superman would be played by Tom Welling and speculates that the season finale of "The Flash" would change the timeline of show allowing the appearance of Superman to happen.

"My sources say that Greg Berlanti told some reporters during a CW event that SUPERMAN may appear on season 2 of the Flash," wrote Comic Central City.

Comic Central City continued, "Now, from what I gather, this Superman is going to be played by Tom Welling and his Superman may or may not be tied to Smallville but I think that the end season 1 would introduce an alternate timeline where Superman exists and Caitlin and Cisco are metahumans."

It should be noted though that previously, IGN reported that DC Comics Chief Creative Officer, Geoff Johns, stated during the Television Critics Association press tour that while some DC superheroes can and will appear on the DC TV universe, Superman and Batman cannot.

"You'll see a lot of DC universe characters [on The Flash and Arrow]. You won't see Batman or Superman. We're on production on Batman V Superman now. So you'll see characters like The Atom or Firestorm, but no not Batman or Superman right now [on TV]," said Geoff Johns.
