The new build of the Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones will reportedly launch on April 10.

In March, it was reported that Microsoft is planning to release the new build of the Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones. Now, it's finally here. Windows Central reported that, according to Windows 10 Insider Program Chief Gabriel Aul, the company is planning to launch the new build Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones on Friday.

The publication added that the Lumia 930 and Lumia Icon models will be excluded from the said update because of a bug "causing the wrong scaling factor applied to UX, causing everything to be tiny" according to Aul.

Furthermore, in a blog post from Microsoft, the company disclosed that the next build of the Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones will cater to more devices. It also explained why there is a limited number of phones involved in the first build.

"The reason for this is that we had to select from the set of phones that had a sufficient system partition sizes configured by the manufacturer. This was necessary for use to be able to in-place upgrade the phones. I also talked about a feature we were working on called 'partition stitching' that would allow us to re-size the system partition dynamically, allowing us to do the upgrade on a larger set of phones," said the firm.

Moreover, the phones that are expected to be eligible for the next build of the Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones include the Nokia Lumia 1520, Nokia Lumia 1320, Nokia Lumia 1020, Nokia Lumia 928, Nokia Lumia 925, Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 830, Nokia Lumia 822, Nokia Lumia 820, Nokia Lumia 810, Nokia Lumia 735, Nokia Lumia 720 and the Nokia Lumia 730 dual SIM version.

Other phones that will be included are the Nokia Lumias 638, 636, 635, 630, 635, 620, 526, 520, the Microsoft Lumia 340 and the phones with a dual SIM version, which are the Microsoft Lumia 435, 530, 532, 535 and 630.
