LG Starts G4 Trial Program In The US; Lucky Participant Will Get The Device For Free

LG Electronics has disclosed on Tuesday that its latest smartphone, the G4, will start its trial program in the US.

According to GSM Arena, US citizens can register to avail of the trial program at the LG G4 page with the important details such as full name, email address, phone, zip code and current carrier to join the program.

The company will select a winner through a random drawing and will get a free G4 smartphone. In return, the participant will share his or her experience of the device on social media channels.

"We're very proud of the new LG G4 and confident that people will truly appreciate the impressive new camera, display, design and user interface," said Morris Lee, senior vice president and head of North American sales and marketing, LG MobileComm, cited PR Newswire.

"We look forward to rolling out this unique opportunity for some lucky U.S. consumers to 'see the great and feel the great' for themselves," he said.

In addition, the LG G4 smartphones that will be used in a trial program will be GSMA-compatible with select US carrier networks.

Specs wise, the LG G4 has a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and 538 ppi. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with X10 LTE, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB eMMC ROM and micro-SD card slot of up to 2TB.

The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and has 3000 mAh battery. As for the camera, the handset has 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization 2.0 and laser auto focus while the front-facing camera has 8MP with gesture interval shot and gesture shot.

The LG G4 is available in different colors - Metallics, Ceramic White, Gray, Shiny Gold, Red, Brown, Gold, Beige, Sky Blue and Yellow.

Meanwhile, the company has not yet released information about the price and launch date of the LG G4 device for the US market.
