“Modern Family” Star Sofia Vergara: I Didn’t Want To Date “Magic Mike XXL” Star Joe Manganiello
According to Sundayworld.com, "Modern Family" actress Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello had first met in 2014 at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. But, it was in last December that the "True Blood" star had actually popped the question to Sofia.
Now, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello are happily engaged and planning for their November wedding. But, Sofia never thought they would make it so far.
"I didn't want to go out with him (Joe Manganiello) for a long time because I thought he was too good-looking," Sofia told InStyle magazine.
She added, "Like, it's too much work, and I'm older. I'm 43 years old. I don't want to deal with a guy that every girl is after, you know? But then I gave him (Joe Manganiello) a chance. I realized he's not like a typical handsome guy. He's not vain. He's very serious, very straightforward, very easy."
Earlier, the 43-year-old "Modern Family" star had married Joe Gonzalez, her high school sweetheart, when she was just 18. They called the quits after 3 years. Sofia and Joe have a 22-year-old son Manolo.
Forbes' top earning Television actress, Vergara accepted that she aspired to have more money to support her family and her son, Manolo. "That was my whole objective since I started work," she had revealed. She added, "I wanted to have a business. And then, over time, it became fun."
Sofia has expressed her desire to have more children with her fiancé Joe Manganiello. She said that her "borderline" age wouldn't allow her to do it alone. She added that she had a fibroid at a spot where the "eggs get implanted" so she would need a surrogate.
A source told ET that Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello's wedding would be at Palm Beach Florida. Vergara shared that she wanted her guests to have a "good time" on her big day with "Magic Mike" star. She assured that her wedding party would be a simple affair with a lot of good food and music.
