Actors occasionally get a bad rap for being competitive and jealous, but most kdrama actors seem pretty friendly and supportive. Many form friendships on set that last a lifetime. Have you ever wondered which actors are friends?

Recently, actor Hyun Bin revealed that one of his best buddies is fellow actor Jang Dong Gun. They became closer during their service in the Korean Marines.

"Although I had little opportunity to speak to anyone, I was at least able to speak to Jang Dong Gun and that was very helpful," said Hyun Bin.

Jang Dong Gun is friendly with lots of fellow actors. He also pals around with Lee Byung Hun, Song Seung Hoon and Won Bin. The four together took part in a special Hallyu Festival in Tokyo because they wanted to do something fun together.

Song Seung Hoon has been So Ji Sub's best friend since his debut.

"I will like the guy as long as I live," said So Ji Sub. "I will always remember him helping me when I was distressed and I will always be good to him. He is a good brother, colleague and actor."

Jung Il Woo, Kim Bum and Jung Il Woo are so close that they have been nicknamed the Korean Three Musketeers. Jung Il Woo and Lee Min Ho have been friends since they went to school together. They both give him feedback on his acting.

"I always watch the first broadcast of a drama with the objective Lee Min Ho and the sensitive Jung Il Woo," said Kim Bum. "We are like brothers but we are honest with each other. Jung Il Woo is the closest to me and he's a sensitive person. I talk to him about everything. On the other hand, if I want to become a better actor, I need advice from Lee Min Ho. He always tries to be objective and gives me straightforward opinions."

Actresses who are friends also give each other career advice. When IU worried about taking on her role in "You're The Best Lee Soon Shin," she turned to her friend Yoo In Na.
"She strongly recommended that I go for it," said IU.

IU taking on the role actually led to Yoo In Na starring as her sister in the drama.

"I saw there was a sister role that would fit Yoo In Na," said IU. "She was considering a different piece, but in the end she came to join us after she was offered the sister role."

Co-star friendships also bloom between actors and actresses. When Lee Jong Suk and IU first appeared in a show together, he was not fond of her. But when the show wrapped up, he knew he would miss her.

"After I stepped down as an emcee, I kept in touch with IU," said Lee Jong Suk. "We told each other about the things that upset us and that's how we became close. Now, she's one of my few close friends."
