Lee Seung Gi Talks About Former Agency & How His Life Changed After ‘Sorting Out Old Relationships’

From the new agency to the upcoming wedding, the award-winning actor is starting 2023 with bold moves.
Interestingly, during his appearance on Humanmade's YouTube channel, the actor spoke about his experience dealing with major changes in his personal life and career.
Titled "ENCORE - Singing Again" the triple-threat star showcases a whole new different vibe as a singer and actor.
Lee Seung Gi on How He Overcame Challenging Part of His Career
The actor and singer have been in the industry for almost two decades. From hit songs to blockbuster K-dramas and movies, there's no doubt why Lee Seung Gi is among the most sought-after celebrities in Hallyu.
As obtained by a news outlet, the "Vagabond" star started the video by introducing himself. He showed a glimpse of his morning routine in a simple camp life to footage of his on-stage performance and said, "I am Lee Seung Gi, a singer, and entertainer with 20 years of experience."
As the mini-documentary continues, the actor bravely talked about the challenges he faced especially with his longtime agency.
He acknowledges that a lot has happened in a span of five months - from November 2022 to March 2023, adding that his "life changed a lot."
Moreover, Lee Seung Gi also mentioned that he "has sorted out old relationships" and "made new connections" which made him feel "a different kind of happiness."
With this, it made him contemplate more on what he should do with his life "to be the happiest and do my best."
The actor also recalled the time when he was filming a movie at the height of the controversy.
He is thankful that despite the challenges, he was able to deliver good work but admitted that "everything seemingly" went to his head at the time.
To recall, the award-winning top star faced a devastating situation following his dispute with then-agency, Hook Entertainment.

It was due to the conflict with his payment for digital streams of Lee Seung Gi's songs.
As mentioned by a news portal, the actor's legal representatives said that the 36-year-old star has not received payment for his digital streams or online downloads for years.
Moreover, Lee Seung Gi was also insulted by the Hook CEO for calling him an "unprofitable singer who requests too many things (from the company)."
The unfavorable action, to which some fans called "work slavery" prompted Lee Seung Gi to leave his agency.
Now, he is officially under Humanmade, after signing last December 2022.
It is a one-man agency that the singer-actor established in 2021.
Lee Seung Gi Reveals Effects of Dealing with Dispute With Hook Entertainment
In a mini-documentary, the actor also shared the aftermath of the controversy.
He confessed to being emotional and often cries a lot, he also began to avoid people around.
Despite this, he believes that this is just a bump on the road and a part of his life to experience full happiness.
"I think it was an experience that was very necessary for me to be happy," he said.
