Seo In Guk Looks Back On His Childhood, “I Was Very Unpopular”

Singer-actor Seo In Guk is one of the hottest and most popular personalities this 2013, but despite his current success, he admits that he wasn't popular  during his childhood.

During a recent interview with KBS's "Entertainment Weekly", Seo In Guk talked about his high school days, and he revealed that he wasn't popular before. He said, "I was a naughty kid when I was in elementary, but when I went into middle school, I started to focus on my dreams of becoming a singer. As a result, I was very unpopular when I was in school."

Despite his hindrances in the past, Seo In Guk was able to reach his dreams by participating in a reality singing search Superstar K, in which he became the first season's grand winner. After his run as a singer, he was casted in the musical "Gwanghwamun Love Song" and drama "Love Rain". He made a breakthrough as an actor in the drama "Reply 1997", his most popular project to date. In addition, he spent the majority of 2013 filming his movie "No Breathing" and drama "Master's Sun", proving his popularity as a versatile performer.

Currently, Seo is gaining attention as a singer with his debut Japanese album "Everlasting", which will be released in January 2014. Showing the vast improvement from his unpopular image back in high school, the cover of his album will feature a topless Seo In Guk. Likewise, he will be holding his first concert titles "Surpri-Inguk".

With his success and achievements, Seo In Guk has shown that dreams really do come true and past images can be overcome.
