So Ji Sub And Shin Min Ah's Drama Confirms Its Airdate, Receives A New Name
So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah will return in K-Drama on November 16, 2015, in the renamed series, "Oh My Venus."
On October 8, KBS released details about the renamed series and its impending airdate. A report published by Yonhap News outlined the name change and the airdate for the highly-anticipated drama.
"Actors So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah will lead the KBS2 drama, 'Oh My Venus,' which will broadcast its first episode, next month on the 16th," said Kim Jung Ah, a reporter for Yonhap News.
Shin Min Ah portrays Kang Joo Eun, a 33-year-old woman who attempts to embrace fitness and a healthier lifestyle, in the midst of her busy career as a lawyer. So Ji Sub is Kim Young Ho, an acclaimed Hollywood personal trainer, whose personality clashes with Joo Eun, as he attempts to whip her into shape.
The series is eagerly awaited by fans of So Ji Sub and those who enjoyed seeing him with Shin Min Ah, during their run as an endorsement couple for Giordano, before she was joined by her now-real-life boyfriend, Kim Woo Bin.
So Ji Sub debuted in the 1996 romantic comedy, "Three Guys and Three Girls." While he has an extensive acting resume, he received attention from international audiences following his portrayal of the spoiled conglomerate heir, Joo Joong Won, in the 2013 Hong Sisters series, "Master's Sun."
"Oh My Venus" marks his first full-fledged drama role, following "Master's Sun." During his hiatus, he worked within K-hip-hop, releasing the albums "18 Years" and "So Ganzi." Over the past two years, The 37-year-old model-turned-actor also appeared on the web drama, "One Sunny Day," along with cameo roles in the Hong Sisters' series, "Warm and Cozy."
"Oh My Venus" premieres on November 16, in the time slot currently occupied by "Sassy, Go Go," the cheerleading series that is also known as "Cheer Up!"
