Android Marshmallow 6 release date for LG phones seems to be coming sooner than expected. Google recently launched its Nexus 5X and 6P phones carrying the new Android Marshmallow OS. Android Marshmallow release date for LG phones is not known exactly, but G4 phones are expected to receive the much-awaited update on December 2015, said Realty Today.

The T-mobile website also saod that updates for G3 and G4 are expected soon. However, the same cannot be said for G2 and G1 phones that now belong to older generation, according to the mobile device standards, said Gospel Herald. However, it has been rumored that G2 devices might have a chance they receive the new Android version update, stated GSM Arena. An LG G2 running Android 6.0 has been seen in the database of Geekbench, one of the most well-known benchmarks for Google's mobile OS.

G2 and G3 phones are currently running on Android 5.1 Lollipop but G Stylo has already received update Lollipop 5.1.1 and is running on upgraded version. T-Mobile has announced on its support page the list of devices to get the upgrade. The 2015 flagship of LG, smartphone G4 is fortunate to be part of the list, said Realty Today.

South Korean tech giant has so far not made any official statement about Android Marshmallow release date for LG phones but it is expected that it may skip Android 5.1.1 update on its G series phones, said Gospel Herald. It has already updated its support documents for G3 and G4 devices. LG hasn't been a fan of Android 5.1, as it hasn't updated either the G3 or the G2 to this release, so perhaps the company wants to skip that iteration of the OS and jump straight to 6.0, said GSM Arena
