Dakota Johnson Closer To Father Don Johnson After Split With Matthew Hitt? Dedicates Instagram Post To Dad

Dakota Johnson and her father Don Johnson were recently spotted having a catch-up dinner date at West Hollywood last Friday.

Is Don Johnson doing his fatherly duty of trying to cheer up Dakota Johnson after her breakup with Matthew Hitt?

Daily Mail recounted how the "Fifty Shades oF Grey" star admitted that she's no longer with Matthew Hitt.

"Dakota recently revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that she is no longer seeing apparently now ex-boyfriend Matthew Hitt," the report said. "While talking about her famous portrayal of Anastasia Steele, the 57-year-old comedienne asked the pretty brunette: 'Are you in a relationship?'"

"Dakota replied 'no' with a bit of hesitation and nervous laughter. The 21 Jump Street actress and Matthew dated for several months before a reported split in February, but briefly rekindled their romance in May before calling it quits."

Heartbroken with her split with Matthew Hitt or not, it seems that Dakota Johnson has a good relationship with her father,as reflected by her Instagram posts.

In her latest Instagram post, Dakota Johnson shared a photo of her father and Amber Valletta for promo for their show.

"Go watch my sweet daddy @donjohnson and the smashing @ambervalletta in BLOOD AND OIL @bloodandoilabc at 9 tonight on ABC," the actress captioned the Instagram post.

The photo got more than 23,000 likes on Instagram.

A few days after being spotted spending time with her father, Don Johnson in Los Angeles, Dakota was seen in New York walking hand-in-hand with Matthew Hitt, according to a separate report by Daily Mail.

It's yet to be confirmed if the two are casually dating sans labels, explaining why Dakota told Ellen that she's not in a relationship.

The "Fifty Shades of Grey" star is reportedly working on a movie "How To Be Single," due out in February. She will star with Rebel Wilson, Leslie Mann, Alison Brie, and Damon Wayans Jr. on the comedy flick.
