If his fans already thought it was taking too long to see Jo In Sung in another role, there's disappointing news. The star of the recent hit melodrama "That Winter The Wind Blows," has dropped out of "Kwon Bob," a film that he waited two years to work on.

After the long wait, his plans and the film's schedule ultimately did not work out, forcing him to withdraw from the role. Jo In Sung was cast in the futuristic science fiction film shortly after ending his military service in the spring of 2011. He wanted to make Kwon Bob his comeback role and turned down many other offers to be in it.

While waiting for the film to be financed, he filmed several commercials, earning millions. But he refused to take on any longer projects such as dramas and films in case of scheduling conflicts.

He finally agreed to star in the 2013 drama "That Winter The Wind Blows" with Song Hye Kyo because he could not wait any longer and he felt it was too good of a script to turn down. In that drama, he played a gambler and a con man that tries to take advantage of a blind heiress. He pretends to be her brother but his extortion scheme fails when he falls in love with her.

"That Winter The Wind Blows" was a big hit and by its conclusion "Kwon Bob" finally had the financial backing it needed. The film is an international collaboration with Chinese production companies providing 30 percent of the money and Korea's CJ Group managing the production. Filming was supposed to begin at the end of June and there is no word as to why it was delayed. Jo In Sung could not wait any longer and the production company has not yet found an actor to replace him.

"Kwon Bob" is set in the year 2050 in a futuristic city and co-stars Lee Yeon Hee, Kang Hye Jung and Yoo Hae Jin. Jo In Sung was set to play a man who develops super powers. His character falls in love with Lee Yeon Hee and he uses his super powers to save her village. Park Kwang Hyun, who directed the 2005 hit film, "Welcome to Dongmakgol" will direct "Kwon Bob."

Before appearing in "That Winter The Wind Blows," Jo In Sung starred in the films, "A Frozen Flower" and "A Dirty Carnival," and the drama "Something Happened in Bali."
