Cody Simpson Hoping That Gigi Hadid Will Come Back To Him After Joe Jonas Split?

A lot of fans of Cody Simpson and Gigi Hadid have been disappointed when they broke up earlier this year.

But is it possible that the two can find their way back to each other after Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas allegedly split?

According to rumors, and the reason behind the breakup of "GI Joe" is purportedly the same reason why the model and Cody Simpson called it quits.

"TMZ confirmed the couple formerly known as G.I. Joe decided to call it quits after what amounts to an extended summer fling. A source close to the couple tells us it was all about their schedules," the celebrity news website wrote.

"Joe wanted to focus on his new group DNCE ... which is just kicking off a new tour."

However, there are speculations as to whether having busy schedules is really the reason behind Joe Jonas and Gigi Hadid's trip to splitsville.

"Ironically, when Gigi Hadid and Cody Simpson broke up - just a few days before she stepped out with Joe, they too also cited their busy schedules as the reason," Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.

"Obviously that wasn't really the case because Gigi manage to find time for Joe. So, we can't help but wonder if the whole 'busy schedule' rouse is just Gigi's way of letting Joe down easy before she moves on to her next conquest."

It's not clear whether Cody Simpson is dating someone new after his break up with Gigi Hadid.

It has previously been reported that Gigi Hadid's mother liked Joe Jonas better for her daughter than Cody Simpson.

"Gigi's mom is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster and she's really excited about her daughter's new relationship," a source close to Yolanda Foster previously told Dish Nation.

"It's not that Yolanda didn't like Cody, but she just feels like her daughter is a better fit with Joe, who's a bit older and will maybe take care of Gigi in a more protective way."

Both Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas have yet to confirm or deny the rumors of their split.
