Moon Geun Young Injured Again On A Drama Set

Moon Geun Young is such a professional that although she suffered an eye injury while filming "Goddess of Fire: Jeonji," she was back on the set the next day.

The injury happened when camera equipment fell and hit the upper part of her face. She was rushed to the emergency room and examined. No serious damage was done but filming was delayed while actress waited for the swelling to go down.

According to her agency, Namoo Actors, she visited the emergency room and had her face examined on the 18th.

"At the time, her eyes were swollen and we had to stop filming," said a representative of Namoo. "She rested until the next day and felt so much better that she has returned to the set."

This caused some bystanders to comment that the non-stop working conditions that are often required during drama filming can lead to come careless accidents because both crew and cast are exhausted.

It's not the first time that the actress has been injured on set. While she was filming "Painter of the Wind," actor Park Shin Yang accidentally broke her nose, delaying the drama's production.

Park broke her nose during a scene in which the actors were supposed to be arguing. His left elbow accidentally grazed the left side of Moon's nose, resulting in bruises and a small fracture. Moon was sent to the emergency room for an X-ray.  At that time a small surgical procedure corrected the fracture but she was still badly bruised. As a result of that injury, she had to take a week off from filming to recover, but he production continued in her absence.

And that accident happened only a short time after she fell down a well while filming. She was shooting a scene in which she was supposed to act as if she injured her ankle and fall down a well. But in the process of shooting, she really did fall down the well. Park Shin Yang was supposed to rescue her from the well and carry her out. He did successfully carry her out a few times. But during a re-shoot of the scene, a missed signal by a crewmember sent Moon flying to the ground. As a result she really injured her heel and ankle and had to be rushed to the hospital for an x-ray.  Fortunately, that injury was not serious.

"Goddess of Fire: Jeonji," a drama about the first female Korean potter, also stars Lee San gyOon and Kim Bum.
