Ariel Winter Blasted At Body-Shamers: Internet Bullies “Sickens” Her

Ariel Winter blasted back at body-shamers with a harsh message on Instagram.

The "Modern Family" star had uploaded a photo of her in a white and blue bikini with her two nieces on either side on Friday. The 17-year-old star received a number of comments on her photo while few messages were way too harsh on the teen. In response to such comments the actress posted a photo with a message that hit the body-sharmers hard on their head, reported Today.

Among many ridiculing comments on Instagram one message meant that she was "asking for it" by wearing a bathing suit and posting such a photo on social media. Winter who was upset by such a response posted a photo of a girl's leg which was marked with different words that refers to her depending on the size of the skirt she was wearing.

"Who knew that an innocent photo with my nieces would turn into this?" Winter wrote. "The height of a girl's skirt or whatever she is wearing for that matter, does not imply what she is asking for. It sickens me to think at 17 years old, a photo of myself with my nieces is suggesting that I'm 'asking for it,'" she added, according to Attn.

The markings started up high on the thigh and ended near calf with words in order from "whore," "slut," "asking for it," "provocative," "cheeky," "flirty," "proper," "old-fashioned" to "prudish."

Ariel Winter's Advice To Girls Of Her Age

"You are not asking for anything because of what you are wearing - you are expressing yourself and don't you ever think you deserve the negativity as the consequence to what you are wearing - YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL," Winter explained. "Celebrate you and don't let anyone's comments allow you to think less of yourself. Us girls have to stick together!!!!!!" she added.
