As if Kim Soo Hyun, the star of the record-breaking spy film "Secretly Greatly" and the historical drama "Moon Embracing The Sun," was not enough of a draw, the "Man From The Stars" producers have figured out another way to attract viewers.

They recruited Jung Yunho, a member of the popular band TVXQ to play the second lead. And although nothing is definite yet, the singer-turned actor is seriously considering joining the upcoming alien comedy.

If he does sign on, Yunho will provide some competition for Kim Soo Hyun's cynical but suddenly love-struck alien Do Min Jeon.

Yunho has played a second lead before. He was Baek Do Hoon in the recent drama "Queen of Ambition." He won praise for his performance and hoped the drama would help him land more parts.

But playing the second lead in a romantic comedy about an alien could mean that some fierce competition awaits him. Yunho would not compete with an ordinary human being but an alien with special abilities. And Do Min Jeon is no rookie. He landed on earth during the Joseon era and has been around ever since.

It's a lot to consider.

A great cast of co-stars should make it easier to decide.

The female lead will be played by Jun Ji Hyun, who appeared in the film "Thieves" and the drama "My Sassy Girl." So E Hyun, who recently had a leading role in "Who Are You?" and had a supporting role in "Cheomdamdung Alice," will play the second female lead.

"Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun have already been confirmed," said an SBS representative. "Although nothing is definite yet, there's a strong possibility that Yunho will also be cast."

If Yunho does take the part, he will play the well-off fiancé of actress Chun Song Yi, the girl Kim Soo Hyun's alien falls head-over-heels in love with. During the hundreds of years Do Min Jeon lived on earth, he became increasingly cynical about human nature but that does not stop him from falling for another man's fiancée.

Yunho has been focusing on his musical career since "Queen of Ambition" ended but he's serious about making an acting comeback. Aside from his "Queen of Ambition" role, he had a few cameo roles in dramas, one leading role in the film "Heading To The Ground" and a role in the English film "Cobu 3D." He also performed in musical comedies, playing Crown Prince Shin in the musical version of "Princess Hours."

"Man From The Stars" will air in December.
