Kim Heechul: “I Would Never Take Part In A Drama Produced By SM”

Super Junior member Kim Heechul admits that he would never participate in a drama produced by his company, SM Entertainment.

On an episode of "Ssul Jeon", the idol-actor surprises everyone by voicing out such an honest opinion on the show.

"In SM, there is the singing team and the acting team," began Heechul. "But the acting team are being promoted by the company way too similarly to the singing team, so I always have a few words to say to them about this."

"I even told them that I would never take part in a drama by SM."

He continued honestly, "I am still thankful that the company's mindset is 'Our kids are the best, our kids are good.' But you would notice that we don't hire actors from other companies for our MVs because according to them, 'Our kids are so handsome and pretty so why bother with other actors?'"

He also said that casting both the female and male lead from SM does not work, like in the drama "To The Beautiful You", which has SM artists Minho and Sulli as the main cast.

Heechul was cast in "Rainbow Romance", "Golden Bride" and Chinese drama "Youth Melody".
