Actor Kim Eung Soo spoke about his thoughts as an "expert villain actor."

During the production release of tvN's new Monday/Tuesday drama "Basketball" held on October 14th at Imperial Palace in Nonhyundong, Seoul, Kim Eung Soo said, "I was drinking makgeolli (rice wine) with Producer Kwak Jung Hwan and decided to be part of the drama."

Kim Eung Soo plays the role of Choi Jae Guk, the president of Kyung In Spinning. On the outside, he looks virtuous and has presence, but he's so cold blooded that not even his family's sacrifice will get in the way of his success.

As to his continued villain roles, Kim Eung Soo drew laughter from the crowd and said, "There's definitely bad within every good person. Even at home, don't you pretend to be good some times and bad other times?"

Moreover, he said, "Within a person, there is a conflict between good and evil. There might be shabby actors but no shabby roles. If I play the character I'm assigned to well, I think that's success." He also added, "I'll continue to play villains because it's fun."

Meanwhile, "Basketball" features young people who meet by fate during a time when the nation was going through tumultuous times.

This series features the love and conflict of young people who look to basketball as their torch during the tumultuous times of the Japanese occupation and liberation into post-Korean War years, as the series also captures the spirit of cooperation and emotional victories.

The series draws on the passion of the youth who lived in Chosun in the 1940s, as it uses as a motif the National Basketball team that went to the 1948 Olympics under the name of "KOREA" before the Korean peninsula was divided into the North and South. This was the first and last time that this name was used.

"Basketball" will air on October 21st for the first time and air every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM.
