Lee Min Ho Participates In Chilean Reforestation Project
Lee Min Ho listens to the requests of his fans all the way from Chile by taking part in the Reforest Patagonia Project.
On October 16, his agency Starhaus Entertainment revealed that, "We have received news about the reforestation project in Chile's Patagonia, and heeding the sincere request of his fans, Lee Min Ho has decided to take part as the PR ambassador for this project."
"Protecting the earth is our responsibility as humans, and I'm proud of my fans for taking the initiative to help out this cause," said Lee Min Ho.
The Reforestation Patagonia Project began through the efforts of the Chilean government to restore over 14,000 acres of protected area that have been destroyed in a fire last 2011. Lee Min Ho has been invited for ambassador ship after his fans planted 861 trees under his name.
In addition, Lee Min Ho's fans from Chile donated 332 trees under his name last April 2013 to express their love for the actor. Their hope is that seeing how beautiful their forest is would make him want to visit.
Lee Min Ho has previously participated in a tree planting initiative by the cosmetic brand Innisfree which he promotes. It has been reported that an estimate of 10 million trees have been planted in Mongolia because of this. .
