Sony Corporation's PS 4 Outsells Microsoft's Xbox Again Though November Sales Are Healthy For Both Consoles

November sales of Sony Corporation's PS 4 beat that of Microsoft's Xbox One game console with effective marketing and price cut, on hardware strength in "Fallout" and "Call of Duty."

According to NPD data for the sales of US. video games has Sony PS 4 delivering a strong month in November with 85 percent growth in shipments to 1.5m units sold units. It outsold Xbox by nearly 20 percent. As for the year-to-date sales, the digits are double for both PS3 and PS4, compared to Microsoft's console which sees a 5 percent decline in game sales.

Seeking Alpha noted that PlayStation Vue web-TV is a plus to media owners who depend on the Sony's content distribution.

Since the launch of Sony PS4, it has outsold Xbox One by 11 percent in the United States, reaching 10.8m units at the end of November 2015, even if Xbox released "Halo 5: Guardians" in October.

Xbox One beat Sony PS4 sales in October, but the latter is now on top again in November, but still Xbox One also enjoyed a healthy sales last month.

The holiday shopping season is when game console sales soar and makers depend on for the biggest part of their annual sales. In fact, both Sony and Microsoft launched their current second-generation consoles during a holiday shopping season. Until now, both consoles still have strong demands as both companies continue to promote and lure buyers from buying the units.

CNET said the NPD Group did not give the sales figures by country but the Japanese consumer electronics maker said there were 30.2 million PS4 units sold before Black Friday since it launched on November 2013.

Similarly, Microsoft did not share their sales on Xbox One console in the US. for November but it did say in a statement picked by Geekwire that November was their best ever in the US. for Xbox One, even "setting new records for console sales." The game console of the  Redmond, Washington-based tech giant fell back to second place after beating Sony in October game console sales.
