With just two months before the deadline, the NBA trade rumors are intensifying and this time, the name of Kevin Martin of the Minnesota Timberwolves is being floated around.

According to the report from Associated Press, per Oregon Live, Kevin Martin is being shopped around by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The 6-7 shooting guard is averaging 12.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists this year, down from his career averages of 17.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists. Kevin Martin is also having an off year although he's been playing a lot better in his recent games, averaging 26 points on 46% shooting after being inserted into the starting lineup.

"Martin has a player option for next season worth close to $7.4 million, but it is unclear this early in the season if he plans to exercise that option or become a free agent and seek one more multiyear contract when he will be 33 years old," Oregon Live said.

Whoever can get Kevin Martin via trade or free agency will get outside shooting and ability to score. Will that be the Boston Celtics, perhaps?

Although the Boston Celtics are flying under the radar in the NBA trade rumors, expect the team to figure significantly in the negotiations in the weeks to come as Danny Ainge has revealed that they still need a few tweaks on their roster.

"I think the one thing that we could really use is a go-to scorer," he told ESPN.

"We have some guys that have carried us -- Kelly [Olynyk has] carried us, Avery [Bradley has] carried us, Isaiah [Thomas has] carried us, [Jared Sullinger has] carried us at moments during the season, Evan Turner has carried us -- but it would be nice to find another player that's a reliable scorer at the end of games, night in and night out," he added.

Watch out for more NBA trade rumors which will be published here when they come along.
