Poll Names Yoo Jung As The Character Hong Seol Should Choose

Who do you hope gets the girl in "Cheese in the Trap?"

There's the seemingly perfect Yoo Jung, played by Park Hae Jin. He's smart, rich and handsome. But as perfect as he may seem to be, viewers have been introduced to his dark side. As protective and tender as is he toward Hong Seol, he can also be cruel and petty. His romantic rival is the unpredictable, but extremely loyal Baek in Ho, played by Seo Kang Joon. Baek In Ho has his secrets too, but they seem less menacing.

Baek In Ho is known for his short temper and he's always ready to spring into action when Hong Seol is in danger. Yoo Jung is not generally seen as being bad-tempered. He's slow to anger but when he loses his temper, he can be cruel.

Hong Seol, played by Kim Go Eun, likes both these characters. She's dating Yoo Jung but she's not sure she trusts him. She's friends with Baek In Ho but he does not make her heart flutter.

Which man should Hong Seol choose?

A recent poll by the Korean entertainment outlet StarN wanted to know which character the drama's viewers would choose if they were Hong Seol. The poll was titled "Who Would I Choose, Yoo Jung vs Baek In Ho?"

Despite his dark side the winner was Park's character Yoo Jung. Park Hae Jin won by 26,710 votes.

Viewers apparently had no concerns that the character's dark side would turn out to be even darker. Or perhaps they did not care.

Even though Yoo Jung won the poll, it was not a resounding victory. Some viewers were afflicted with a case of second lead syndrome and hoped that Baek In Ho still had a chance to win Hong Seol's heart.

Altogether 400,128 people took part in the survey. Park Hae Jin earned 213,419 votes, which was 53 percent of the vote. Seo Kang Joon earned 186,709 votes, which was 47 percent.
