Park Hae Jin had plenty to say about the ending of his drama "Cheese in the Trap" and in some ways his comments echoed the concerns of the drama's fans.

The drama initially had a strong following but upset some fans because it veered from the storyline of the manhwa that it was based on. In particular, the discontent focused on the fact that the attention shifted from the romance between Yoo Jung, played by Park and Hong Seol, played by Kim Go Eun. A few episodes focused on the elationship between Hong Seol and Baek In Ho, played by Seo Kang Joon.

The shift in focus also caught Park Hae Jin by surprise. Also, many of the scenes he filmed did not make it to the final cut.

"Yoo Jung doesn't appear as much as he is supposed to. I want to know where the parts with the children are, the parts with Yoo Jung and his father went," said Park in an interview with the Korean media outlet OSEN. "I want to ask the director that myself."

It's not quite the drama he signed on for.

"I thought I was starring in the original webtoon "Cheese in the Trap," but I don't know where I am now."

Park said he was a fan of the original manhwa but he's not completely satisfied with the direction the drama is taking.

"It would be a lie to say I was 100 percent satisfied," he said. "I believed in the original and decided to commit the the drama before anyone else was involved, even the director. Now I don't believe in anything."

Park is not sure how the drama will end. With two episodes left it looks as if things will be left vague.

"I don't know how it will end. Some of the scenes we shot weren't broadcast so even if I did see the ending, I know it's not going to turn out great. I still hope it ends well."

Will the drama ending be different from that of the manhwa?

As far as Park knows no original scenes have been filmed. The only way viewers will know is to see the final episodes.
