Many dramas have characters of main and supporting roles. But it is rare to find dramas that make the audience wonder who the main characters are, and what the relationships between the main characters are.
On the fifth episode of SBS Wednesday Thursday drama "Heirs," aired on October 23, 2013, the main backdrop of the drama was switched to the Empire high school.
On that day's episode, Cha Eun Sang (Park Shin Hye) transferred to the high school and Kim Tan (Lee Min Ho) arrived from the United States. Kim Tan's finance You Rahel feel apprehensive about Cha Eun Sang, and Choi Young Do (Kim Woo Bin) notices Cha Eun Sang and her relationship with Kim Tan. The drama, however, instead of weaving the story of the four main characters, tells the story of all the other supporting characters as well, to the point where the audiences criticized its distracting storyline.
Audiences after this day's episode showed their regrets for the drama saying, "There are too many cast members," "The storyline is distracting," and "The relationship among the characters are so confusing and difficult."
