Luke Grimes is officially joining the cast Fifty Shades of Grey, MTV reported.

True Blood's Luke Grimes will play the brother of Christian Grey named Elliot Grey. Elliot and Christian are not biological brothers so don't be surprised if they don't look alike. In the book, Elliot is described as a tall, muscular 30-year-old with curly blond hair and blue eyes.

The actor recently appeared as Deborah Ann Woll's love interest in the last season of True Blood. Grimes also appeared in Brothers & Sisters, Taken 2, and All the Boys Love Mandy Lane.

This casting news was announced after a day that Jamie Dornan was announced to play Christian Grey, opposite Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, in the anticipated film adaptation. He is officially replacing Charlie Hunnam who dropped out of the film earlier this month.

E.L. James was the first to announce that Dornan was going to be Christian Grey. She tweeted: "Stow your twitchy palms ladies... our man is here. Welcome to #TeamFifty @JamieDornan1 x"

Dornan was reported to have a really good audition.

"He had a really good read," a source told E! News. The studio was not also worried on the chemistry between Dornan and Johnson. "They think [Dakota] could handle whoever the guy is."
