MOMOLAND's Yeonwoo Confirmed to Join New Drama "Touch"

MOMOLAND member Yeonwoo will appear in an upcoming drama!

"Touch" is a romantic-comedy drama that Joo Sang Wook and Kim Bo Ra are currently in talks to take the lead roles. The story will focus on a makeup artist who becomes unemployed and with debt, also to an idol trainee who was unable to debut after training for ten years. The two meet and start to go after their dreams once again and fall in love with each other along the way. Joo Sang Wook will take the role of the makeup artist named Cha Jung Hyuk, and Kim Bo Ra will be the female lead named Han Soo Yeon.

Based on reports, Yeonwoo will be playing the role of Jung Young Ah, who is the best friend of Kim Bo Ra's character. After having failed as an idol trainee, she enters the world of mukbang streaming and becomes successful later on.

"Touch" will be the second drama Yeonwoo will be joining this year, 2019, following "Pegasus Market." The artist is currently filming the latter and takes the role of Kwon Ji Na, the daughter of Kwon Young Goo (played by Park So Han). Though the "Pegasus Market" is yet to premiere on September 20, Yeonwoo is sure making a name for herself in her acting career, having been offered another project for a new role.

"Touch" was supposedly the idol's third drama this year, but she was unable to appear in "Mung Bean Chronicles" that is also set to premiere this September, as she was struggling with social anxiety that time and she is still recovering up to now. Last month, MLD Entertainment stated that Yeonwoo is doing much better as she is receiving consistent treatment.

Because of her acting projects, Yeonwoo won't be participating in any group activities alongside her fellow MOMOLAND members as of now. She has been away from her members since June this year, as she has to focus on her acting, plus she needed time to regain her strength and self-confidence after being diagnosed with panic attack disorder and extreme anxiety.

Yeonwoo made her acting debut in 2018 when she appeared in MBC's "Tempted" as the older cousin of Kwon Si Hyun (played by Woo Do Hwan), named Kwon Yeo Min.
