The school violence depicted in SBS Wednesday Thursday drama "Heirs" is causing a controversy.

In this drama based on the elite of the elitest high school, scenes of where the supporting male characters for the main character, who's the second generation of a big hotel group, are physically abusing the powerless students are causing uncomfortable feelings for the audiences.

In addition, some argue that the drama covers the issue of school violence with the romance, depicting the perpetrators as harmless. Other audiences worry that, when the school violence is addressed in notion of "conglomerate love," the younger generation who watch the drama would develop longings for the power and the power of money, instead of the unjust feelings for school violence.

Last September, SBS entertainment program "Song For You" was criticized largely for its lack of censorship for airing the scenes of student violence perpetrators without any regret for their behaviors. The originally cartoon of KBS2 drama "Boys Over Flowers" (2009) also has been criticized for its appalling use of ijimae (group bullying) as a tool for romance.
