Episode 2: Song Hwa Breaks Up With Cheating Boyfriend, Suk Hyung Admits Confessing Love

In the second episode of "Hospital Playlist," Song Hwa declined to operate on one of the patients and a love confession that occurred in the past shocked everyone in the group.

The day starts with Song Hwa's meeting with Professor Min, together with the rest of the doctors. The professor is famous for his TV shows in line with his duties in the hospital. Some resident doctors, however, are not in favor of the way he conducts his activities towards his patients. He is known for passing his job to his assistant. Then, one of the resident doctors asked Song Hwa to perform the neurosurgery for his patients and she refused because of schedule conflict.

The following day, on her way to work, Song Hwa contacted her mother and told her that she broke up with her boyfriend. She told them not to worry and that he cheated on her. Ik Jun, who was wearing biking gears, overheard her story. He asked Song Hwa if it was true, to which she said yes and walked away.

Inside the hospital, Ik Jun asked general surgeon Dr. Jang if he can join her with tomorrow's scheduled surgery for a patient. Dr. Jang agreed but another veteran doctor came inside the room and asked her. This left Ik Jun speechless and lost the chance to be with her.

Jun Wan contacted Song Hwa and invited her for a coffee break. A few minutes as they settled down, Song Hwa confronted Jun Wan for not telling her in advance about his cheating boyfriend, but Jun Wan argued he was not in the position to tell her about it. Song Hwa was irked because of his reason.

In the emergency room, a young boy was rushed after an accident. He suffered from a brain injury. Dr. Jang's assignment is to talk with the mother and inform her of the medical procedures. Dr. Jang outright told the mother that her son had a slim chance to survive. Jung Won passed by and heard what Dr. Jang said to the mother. He approached Dr. Jang and reprimanded her inside the ER. Jung Won went outside and affirmed the young boy's mother that they will do their best to help her son's condition.

Later that day, Song Hwa met a new patient and found out that it was her good friend back in high school. After checking her CT scan, she found out that Ba Ram needs to get brain surgery. She told her not to worry and instructed Ba Ram to inform her husband. They will schedule the operation as soon as her husband will sign the consent. A few days later, Ba Ram's husband cried as he arrived in the room seeing his wife. Song Hwa saw the couple and was glad to know that her friend will push through with the operation.

Song Hwa felt tired and saw all her friends waiting for her outside. Ik Jun invited all 3 doctors to eat dinner together. In the restaurant, everyone was hungry and ate the whole meal fast. Ju Wan argued with Jung Won that they were eating fast and that they needed to order more since the food was obviously not enough. Song Hwa again reminded Jung Wan why he chose not to say anything about her cheating ex. Suk Hyung ordered a takeaway meal for his mother as well.

The five doctors received the news about Director Ju's wife and they all went to the funeral. As Director Ju and Jung Won's mother met them at the table, a question from the director surprised them. They were asked if there are any feelings of love for someone in the group. Suk Hyung admitted that he confessed his love for Song Hwa during college days but she rejected him on the day of her birthday. This also shocked everyone.

A flashback appeared wherein the five of them during their college days were in a band.
