"Hospital Playlist" Recap: Five Doctors Coping With Family Issues and Personal Interests

A young boy was admitted to the ER due to a car accident, as per his father's account. Jung Won checked the whole body and found out that the boy had deep bruises, which only meant he may have beaten. Jung Won advised the doctors to call the police and questioned the father. The man looked at the doctors, alarmed, he quickly ran away. Jang Gyeo took off her shoes and ran barefoot to capture the man. He was arrested for child abuse and assault. Jung Won discovered that he beats two of his small boys: one with broken ribs and for surgery. 

Suk Hyung's estranged father is a famous politician. He has been admitted to the hospital for transplant surgery. He was using a fake son for the donor. Suk Hyung felt bad how his father got away with illegal things he did. The five doctors went out to eat barbecue dinner together and practiced with the band. Ik Jun and Suk Hyung, in the middle of the song, stopped to go to the hospital for an emergency call. He met with his patients for a scheduled liver transplant.

Suk Hyung hurriedly went to the treatment room as advised by the nurse. When he reached the room, a birthday surprise was prepared for him by his fellow doctors and nurses. Meanwhile, Song Hwa, Jun Wan, and Jung Won waited for Suk Hyung's return as they also prepared a cake for his birthday. 

Ik Jun performed a liver transplant operation in the other room. He went out as the surgery was successful. He then heard the other doctors in the second room, having problems with the surgery. He went inside to help them and completed the operation well.

Jung Won met with his mother for lunch. He asked his mother to allow him to enroll in theology. He wishes to be a priest in the future, but his mother disagreed. She spent the afternoon with her friends and Suk Hyung's mother, playing games and eating dinner together.
Song Hwa stayed late to finish her reports. She felt a recurring pain in her chest and a lump. Ahn Chi passed by and gave her a cup of decaf coffee. Song Hwa asked him if he likes her. Ahn Chi confessed his feelings to Song Hwa, but she rejected him. 

Ik Jun and Jun Wan went home together. Jun Wan stayed in his house for the night as he tried to fix his place. Ik Soon will sleepover with them to finish something in the city. She is a professional player in martial arts. Jun Wan wanted to surprise her as he arrived at the house. With an instinct to protect herself, she kicked and hit his face. Ik Soon asked forgiveness and said she mistakenly thought he was a burglar.

The next morning, Jun Wan woke up as the phone rings. It was Ik Soon's phone. Jun Wan offered to deliver it to her and waited for her at the train station. When they met, Ik Soon thanked him and gave him chocolates. Jun Wan took her hands and expressed his feelings to Ik Soon. 

Song Hwa went to get a medical check-up for her chest pain. The doctor found a cyst in her breast and asked her to get a biopsy. Song Hwa felt scared and agreed to do the biopsy right away.
