“Born Again” Shows The Intertwined Relationships of Jin Se Yeon, Jang Ki Yong, and Lee Soo Hyuk

The upcoming KBS drama Born Again released a chart containing the connected relationship of its characters!

This is a melodrama that's full of mysteries, focusing on the tangled fates of two lovers and a serial killer. The latter remains connected after they were reincarnated.

The main cast of the drama, namely Jang Ki Yong, Jin Se Yeon, and Lee Soo Hyuk, each portray two unalike characters between different lifetimes. Their connection started in the event that interlocked their lives together in the 80s until their reconcilement at the present day.

In the year 1980s, Jung Ha Eun (Jin Se Yeon) used bookstore. Her fiancé was Cha Hyung Bin (Lee Soo Hyuk), who is a detective. Jung Ha Eun, however, develops sympathy for Gong Ji Chul, a "lone wolf" who later on fell in love with her. Cha Hyung Bin and Gong Ji Chul are not on good terms while Gong Ji Chul's father, Gong In Woo, portrayed by Jung In Kyum, is called an artist on a downward path.

Fast forward to 2020, in their reincarnated life, Jin Se Yeon now plays as Jung Sa Bin, a professor of archaeology, working for the National Forensic Service. Then, Lee Soo Hyuk, who now portrays Kim Soo Hyuk, a hired prosecutor in an investigative unit that unearth remains. And on the other hand, Jang Ki Yong portrays Cheon Jong Beom, who's studying medicine at Seo Yeon University.

In the present day, the relationship between Lee Soo Hyuk and Jang Ki Yong stays the same as "enemies," but their relationship with Jin Se Yeon is now up in the air.

Not like in their past lives in the '80s, the 2020 characters are encircled by a huge array of friends, family, and colleagues, and some characters within this circle are somewhat interlaced with the 1980s and 2020 characters.

Kim Soo Hyuk's fiancé is Baek Sang Ah, portrayed by Lee Seo El, who is Jang Hye Mi and Baek In Seok's daughter. Jang Hye Mi, played by Kim Jung Nan, is known as the youngest lawyer to attain her degree and a bestselling crime book author. She is related to the '80s case and Cheon Seok Tae's former lover, the prosecutor of the case of Gong Ji Chul.

Cheon Seok Tae, played by Choi Kwang Il, is also Cheon Jong Beom's father. As a result of this complex fate, Cheon Seok Tae and Cheon Jong Beom are also enemies even though they are father and son. Cheon Jong Beom's mother, Heo Jin Kyung, is Seo Yeon University's trustee. Her younger brother Cheon Jong Woo is portrayed by Park Sang Hoo.
