"Rugal" Recap: Gi Beum Risks His Life To Save His Team and The Citizens
The Rugal team discovered Deuk Goo's laboratory facilities, where he experimented with dead bodies for the past years. They didn't get hold of Dr. Oh as they searched the whole area.
Gi Beum suddenly lost control of his AI eyes. He fought two armed men and ended up killing them. Tae Woong saw Gi Beum and tried to stop and calm him down as he aimed for another one. Gi Beum felt something wrong with his AI eyes. It signals and works on his own, which controls his mind and body. The team returned to HQ while Gi Beum chose to stay at the lab.
Gwang Cheol saved a young girl and brought her to the HQ to take out the chip planted in her head. Bradley was hesitant to help, but Gwang Cheol insisted on getting the chip before the girl would die with it.
Tae Woong discussed with Mi Na about Gi Beum's unusual behavior at the laboratory. Mi Na noticed the changes with Gi Beum's AI eyes. Dr. Oh and Choi Geun-Chul created a chip that connected Mi Na and Gi Beum's emotions. It might help track each other in the future.
Ye Won escaped from Deuk Goo when he beat Min Dal-ho for neglecting his duties in taking care of the laboratory. She used Deuk Goo's car and drove as fast as she could. Min Dal-ho ran after her as Deuk Goo instructed him to spare his life. Ye Won was on her way out of the area and saw Gi Beum. He hopped in and chatted with her while she drove. Ye Won told her that someone is following them. They stopped in another place and went to a cafe shop. Ye Won returned him his phone.
Deuk Goo saw what the mess happened to his laboratory. He was furious and wanted to get hold of Gi Beum.
Bong Man Chul got out of prison and went out to celebrate. He met with Argos members Madam Jang and Choi Yong. They planned to put down Deuk Goo. It's the same place, Deuk Goo visited to release his mind while getting a drink. He was interrupted by Bong Man Chu and caused a commotion as he left the place.
Deuk Goo instructed Dr. Goo to expose about all the inventions and unresolved cases caused by the government and police officers. The video aired throughout the city and protests were made against the police academy. The general was furious and demanded Choi Geun-Chul to fix the problem. Sooner the Rugal team will be disbanded to protect the police academy and be involved with them.
Deuk Goo trapped a bus full of citizens with a time bomb. The video of the incident was sent out to Choi Geun-Chul and the Rugal team. Deuk Goo demanded Gi Beum to surrender before 9:00 a.m., or the bus would explode.
Gi Beum agreed to meet Deuk Goo at the area specified to avoid more casualties. He knew that all the blame, the plans to destroy the team, and that people get hurt because of his existence. Deuk Goo wanted to kill him and got hold of his AI eyes. Gi Beum prepared and went ahead to meet Deuk Goo.
