The beauty behind Korean dramas is that you cannot simply ignore and single out one genre. Being deeply immersed in the K-drama world means you'll find yourself shedding tears at the character's plight in a melodrama or busting a gut while watching comedy. Horror or thriller K-dramas will entertain you as well, but they are still not the only categories that can keep you at the edge of your seat. Digging deeper into this realm will even make you love a whole musical running as the characters are about to seal a kiss, or part ways. Yup, we're talking about OSTs!

Having those mentioned above, here is some selection of not-so-draining Korean dramas to date. Enjoy!

Boys Over Flowers

We cannot deny the fact that the Hallyu fever started for a lot of fans through the series "Boys Over Flowers." If you can identify the main cast of this drama, then you can consider yourself a K-drama fan.

This drama is about a group of chaebol heirs, who are known as the F4 in their high school. The leader of the group is Gu Joon Pyo, portrayed by actor Lee Min Ho. Gu Joon Pyo bullies Geum Jan Di (Ku Hye Sun) at first, who, on the other hand, fights back. But in the process of annoying each other, catches Gu Joon Pyo's attention, and later, he discovers that he's beginning to fall for her. However, their love story doesn't end here, since many circumstances would stop and intervene in their relationship. This classic boy/poor girl story would carry us into an emotional rollercoaster as the story progresses through the episodes.

Secret Garden

Secret Garden is an oldie but goodie Korean drama, who is starred by CLOY leading man Hyun Bin. In this drama, Hyun Bin is a rich CEO named Kim Joo Won. He stars alongside actress Ha Ji Won, portraying the role of Gil Ra Im, who is a struggling stunt woman. Once again, with the classic rich guy/poor girl love story, which was a trend back then, you can really enjoy this drama. Most especially when the two characters end up swapping bodies in the most unconventional way makes the viewers well entertained as the story develops into a romantic manner.

Healer

This drama is an action genre mixed with romance that is starred by the handsome actor Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young. He portrays the character of Seo Jung Hoo, more known as the illegal night courier named "Healer." Park Min Young is Chae Young Shin, who is a reporter for tabloid, while veteran actor Yoo Ji Tae plays Kim Mun Ho, playing the role of a well-known journalist. These three characters discover themselves working together in an unexpected way as they uncover the truth behind an incident that happened way back in 1992. This drama is mostly wrapped up in thriller and mystery, so you'll be kept at the edge of your seat for sure!

Kill Me Heal Me

In the drama "Kill Me Heal Me," Hwang Jung Eum and Ji Sung work together once again as leads in what we consider as one of the most unforgettable dramas of all time. Both experienced actors star respectively as Cha Do Hyun, a wealthy businessman who has a disability of dissociative identity disorder, and Oh Ri Jin, a psychiatrist who is committed to helping Cha Do Hyun cope with his multiple alter egos. What's more? Park Seo Joon is the second lead here!

Alright, at this point, we might spoil it for you, so you have to watch the drama attentively because you're surely in for a good ride!
