"When My Love Blooms" Recap: Jae Hyun Recounts How He Protected Ji Soo
Ji Soo arrived at the principal's office and met Seo Gyung. She knelt to ask for her forgiveness and pleaded to her to not to continue the disciplinary action for Young Min. Jae Hyun entered the office and saw Ji Soo. He grabbed her wrist and helped her stand up. He was disappointed to see her in such a low state. He then advised his wife not to push through with her plans.
Jae Hyun invited Ji Soo to join him on his way home, and she accepted his offer since her shoes were broken. He dropped her at the Seoul train station. Jae Hyun remembered their sweet moments from the past as Ji Soo used to help him when he gets drunk.
Seo Gyung waited for her husband in the living room. When he got home, she asked what made Young Min's case special. Jae Hyun replied that his mother is a university friend. He pitied her, and that if the young boy will get expelled from his school as her mother works hard to support him. Seo Gyun confronted her husband about rumors with the young model. He told her that it is not good to go out with men when he was in jail. Seo Gyung continued that she felt lonely and sad at that time, which led her to go out.
Jae Hyun went again to the hotel, where Ji Soo was playing the piano at the lounge. He waited for Ji Soo to finish her job. Jae Hyun stood in front of the hotel and offered an umbrella to her. She was hesitant, but he insisted.
On her way home, Ji Soo bumped into Young Woo. He is her college buddy and a good friend who spends time talking to Ji Soo while he manages a bar. Young Woo knew Jae Hyun and how Ji Soo fell head over heels for him.
Young Min returns home and stays with his mother. He felt sad as the report card shows declining grades he never expected. Ji Soo prepared a good meal and comforted him with what happened recently in school.
Meanwhile, CEO Jang wanted to get rid of the women who rally in front of their company. He assigned Jae Hyun to complete the job. Seo Gyung did a profile search for Ji Soo and found out her background.
Jae Hyun asked to meet Ji Soo to talk. He advised her to stay away and stop attending the rally. If the police might intrude on the scene and arrest Ji Soo, this may affect her other work. Ji Soo declined and wished to support the terminated employees.
Ji Soo reminded him of their past and how he taught her to do what is right in helping people in need. During their college years, Ji Soo supported Jae Hyun in his campaigns. The first rally she joins with Jae Hyun was when their relationship began to bloom. Young Woo stood beside her, though it led to danger. Ji Soo, since then, wished to support and be by Jae Hyun.
Jae Hyun advised the managers that he will negotiate with the women who were terminated and protest with the company. He planned to give them a peaceful end and negotiations. Seo Gyung saw the book that her husband is fond of reading alone. As she opened it, she saw Ji Soo's name written and her message to Jae Hyun. She called his father and asked to have the policemen handle and arrest all the protesters. Seo Gyung recognized that Ji Soo is Jae Hyun's first love.
