"Sweet Munchies" Premiere: Chef Park Changes His Identity to Save His Father And The Bistro

Kim Ah Jin felt stressed out as a contractual employee in a TV company. She goes to her late-night restaurant to indulge in good food and drinks. 

Chef Park runs "Bistro" in one of the streets in the city. He serves freshly cooked food and partnered with the right drinks. Kim goes to the restaurant alone and vents out her frustrations with Chef Park. He always does his best to comfort Kim and give complimentary food to make her happy.

Kim Ah Jin works hard, but her colleagues bully her as they make her make coffee and other manual labor only in the department. She made her best effort to create a proposal and submit it to the department head. 

Chef Park is a caring son to his widowed father. The next day, he visits and helps him by doing charity food drives and does other errands. He runs the restaurant on his own, which is why he is busy most of the time.

Kim Ah Jin and Chef Park did not realize that they live in one apartment and are neighbors. They laughed at it since she always dines in the restaurant, and Chef Park cooks for her. 

On his way to work, the car lost its break, and Chef Park's dad chose to swivel the car to hit the side road. He injured himself, and lucky enough, the surgery went well. Chef Park rushed to the hospital and found out that his father didn't have any insurance, which leaves them to pay the hospital outright.

Chef Park doesn't have any savings. He tried to borrow from the bank, but he got denied. 

Meanwhile, Ah Jin got a one time chance with the managing director of the channel department. She needs to present a chief that is suited for the show within 24hrs. The chance will help her get a show or lose her job. Her new concept is "A Gay Chef Sweet Munchies." Ah Jin needs to find a chef that will portray as gay in the TV show.

Chef Park is desperate to find a source of income, and his restaurant is about to close. The real owner advised Park that he will not rent the place, and Park needs to stop it running.

Ah Jin seeks help from Chef Park if he knows anyone who likes to be on TV and cast in as a gay chef. The salary is enough to help Park pay the hospital bills. On the day of the audition, Chief Park appeared on the show wearing tight jeans and a polka dot suit. 

Ah Jin only had four hours left, and one chef auditioned but did not pass from the managing director. Just in time, Chef Park comes in and shows his cooking skills. He is determined to change his identity as a transgender chef for to pay the bills and reopen his restaurant. 

The building owner is selling the restaurant that Chef Park built from scratch. Ah Jin felt relieved to see Chef Park do his best.
