"My Unfamiliar Family" Premiere: Keeping The Family Together

Eun Hee preps herself and receives a few calls as she heads to work. Her mother's rage of not answering her calls earlier confused her while driving. She works as an editor in a magazine company.

Jin Sook bid goodbye to her husband, Sang Shik, as he went to work as well. Her youngest adult son Ji Woo calmed her down for getting angry early in the morning. She instructed him to advise his sister Eun Hee to visit their house after work.

Eun Joo, the eldest, is married to doctor Tae Hyung for practice in family medicine. They run a private clinic and live a minimalist life after her miscarriage five years ago. She has never gotten pregnant since their life is in a perfect situation while sleeping in separate rooms.

Ji Woo goes to work as a part-time employee in an advertising company owned by Chan Hyeok. He has been a good friend of Eun Hee since their college days, although Chan Hyeok and Eun Hee got into a fight five years ago and were never in contact after.

Eun Joo opens the clinic while Tae Hyung prepares for his patients. She took all the laundry and washed them at the laundromat located on the ground floor of the building. She meets up with her friend Hyu Shuk who works part-time at the cafe shop near the building. She is in a good mood and enjoyed his company as they talked about anything.

Jin Sook visited her eldest daughter's apartment and brought kimchi for her husband. She advised Eun Joo to work up with her husband in getting pregnant again. Eun Joo dismissed the idea and shared that they don't discuss having children anymore. Ji Woo, who tags along with his mother, was sent to errand and got his sisters washed clothes at the laundromat. He saw Hyu Shuk and wondered why he stayed there doing nothing.

They waited for Tae Hyung to finish his work and met at the cafe. Jin Sook shared with her children and son-in-law her plans of "graduating" from marriage. The term used by younger generations is the same as "separation" by two individuals who find it difficult to live together as a married couple. Eun Joo is very rational with her decisions and argued with Jin Sook for her decisions. Jin Sook is firm and wanted to sell the apartment and live on her own. She left the cafe after getting into arguments with Eu Joo.

Eun Hee met her mother at their house. She was surprised by her decision to live apart from her father. She doesn't want to argue more and assures Jin Sook to stay by her side whatever the decision is. She never talked to her elder sister Eun Joo for the past five years. It happened when Eun Joo shared her dislike with Eun Hee's ex-boyfriend. Eun Hee found out her ex-boyfriend for nine years cheated on her. It's the same incident where she fought with Chan Hyeok for not telling her the truth about the cheating part Jong-Min did to Eun Hee.

Eun Hee covered a meditation temple for the article she is working on. She joined as the monk invited her to sit and be part of the meditation healing. As she closes her eyes and focuses on silence, she goes back to her past. Eun Hee realized all her past mistakes, and she needs to detach from the bad memories and ask for forgiveness from her loved ones. The moment she opened her eyes, she saw Ji Woo and Chan Hyeok doing the video coverage.

Later that afternoon, Eun Hee asked forgiveness and mended her friendship with Chan Hyeok. They went out for dinner and reminisced about the good times.

Eun Hee visited her older sister Eun Joo at the cafe by surprise. She saw Hyu Shuk making casual conversations with Eun Joo. As they talked, Eun Hee amended with Eun Joo and asked forgiveness for what happened in the past. Eun Joo nagged about her immature attitude when she broke up with Jong Min. They end the night with reconciliation as family.

Sang Shik is fond of hiking and would go up to the mountains after he stopped his truck for the night. The time on his first stop, he had a heavy heart climbing the mountain. His wife broke the news of choosing to separate from him. Jin Sook felt tired of living with him, and she is not happy with their marriage. Sang Shik agreed and told Jin Sook to do whatever her plans. As he hikes the mountain, he meets an accident.

Jin Sook received a call from the trucking company. Sang Shik didn't arrive in his schedule and lost contact since yesterday night.
