"Dinner Mate" Recap: One Miracle Leads To Another - It's Destiny!

Kim Hae Kyung and Woo Do Hee finally met at the fish market after their Jeju island escapade. Doo Hee's turn to buy him a meal as part of her promise for his help.

Doo Hee treats Hae Kyung to a rice bowl and invites him to eat on a rooftop overlooking the city. Hae Kyung loved the taste of the rice-bowl and finished Doo Hee's share as well. She brings him to her favorite food shop that serves sea urchins to regular customers. Hae Kyung enjoyed all the food. 

Hae Kyung, as a food psychiatrist, then strikes Do Hee some questions about her experiences in love. All the places she took to Hae Kyung earlier connect to her first love - Jae Hyuk. Do Hee shares that Jae Hyuk brings good memories early in her college years. They fell in love, but Jae Hyuk preferred to study abroad and left her a single message, which ended their years of relationship. 

Hae Kyung shared that his past relationships did not end well and give him a hard time to move on. Noh-Eul is her previous girlfriend, a sexy and pretty lady that's genuinely a girlfriend material. 

The next day, Doo Hee is late for work. CEO Nam knew about her latest breakup and forgave her, thinking that she is having a hard time coping.

The PR team wasn't able to get hold of Hae Kyung for a video shoot. Doo Hee plans to make things happen and meet him face to face.

Doo Hee went to look for Dr. Kim at the cafe shop but they didn't meet. Noh-Eul invited Hae Kyung to a fake name for a counseling appointment. Hae Kyung is surprised to see her since the last time they met, she broke up with him. She wanted to start dating and get back to Hae Kyung, which caught him by surprise.

Jae Hyuk is back in Korea after his studies abroad. He works now as a medical journalist and is ready to get back to Doo Hee. He searched for her at the food shop they dined in before and visited 2N Box. He found Do Hee at the convenience shop near her apartment. 

Doo Hee is furious to see Jae Hyuk after he disappeared five years ago. He apologized to Doo Hee and asked if they can get together again. Doo Hee accepted his apology but refused to be in a relationship with Jae Hyuk. He left her a text message and never talked to her after he went abroad to study. Doo Hee returned to her car and thought about Jae Hyuk's confession that he still loves her.

Hae Kyung is bothered as he thinks of Noh-Eul's sudden change of mind. The last time they met, he was ready to propose to her, but she declined, and they broke up. He went home and met his mother in the living room. They never had a good relationship since she left their family when he was still young. His father died of cancer, and she didn't show up in the hospital or funeral. 

This time, Moon Kyung asked Hae Kyung to accompany her to the doctor as she is terminally ill. Hae Kyung left his house and planned to have his late dinner.

Doo Hee and Hae Kyung meet at the same restaurant unplanned. Their paths have crossed in a place where they want to find comfort after a stressful day. Hae Kyung was able to get a reservation for two, but his friend did not arrive, while Doo Hee did not get in for a seat as the restaurant is full already. Hae Kyung smiled at her and got inside to find his table. Doo Hee steps outside and leaves the restaurant in pity. 

Hae Kyung ran outside and grabbed Doo Hee's arm then said, "Would you like to have dinner with me?"
