"Fix You" Recap: Shi Joon and Woo Joo Bound To Heal Each Other's Trauma

Woo Joo is on her way home and saw Shi Joon walking his way to the resto. Her anger builds up, remembering the last time he avoided her calls and messages.

Shi Joon smiles, looking at Woo Joo, but he didn't get the same reaction from her. She shouted as she outburst her anger towards Shi Joon. He took Woo Joo's hand and allowed her to hit his arm. He smiled to let her calm down. They went to the park as they sit down and talk about what happened. Woo Joo teased Shi Joon if he did like her. But Shi Joon hides his feelings and insists that he will treat her as a patient, and all consultations will be in the hospital. Shi Joon left to avoid Woo Joo's questions leaving Woo Joo in a good mood.

A new patient has been admitted to the psychiatric ward due to suicide. He has PSTD (Post Traumatic Disorder) and MDD (Major Depressive Disorder). He works as a firefighter, but he joined his team for fire rescue ten months before the incident. He got trapped in one of the floors, as he got inside to check for survivors, he was shocked facing dead people lying on the floor. His sister brought him to the ER and requested him to be admitted for psychiatric treatment.

Later that night, Baek Hong-min woke up and began his flashbacks of the fire incident. He runs around the ward and wakes up the patients. Shi Joon arrived in the area as the nurse called for help. He calmed after Shi Joon exerted effort in getting his presence of mind.

Dr. Park advised his team to offer group therapy for Baek Hong-min with other patients experiencing flashbacks. Shi Joon convinced the team that patients with similar trauma can get group therapy as a good case study as well. Dr. In stayed quiet as he prefers to have his client on medication after getting cognitive therapy. But he cannot stop since chief Park agreed with Shi Joon.

Cognitive therapy - focuses on present thinking, behavior. And communication rather than on past experiences and is oriented toward problem-solving.

Late in the afternoon, Dr. In personally met Woo Joo in a cafe shop. He gave her the documents about PSTD and Baek's file for her reference. He planned to set a staged therapy with Baek and Woo Joo.

Woo Joo is excited about her upcoming project, and she watched documentary shows about fire incidents.

Dr. Park and the rest of the psychiatric team gathered for their first group therapy and facilitated the session. Dr. Ji brought her firefighter patient and the rest from the trauma center. Baek felt anxious, watching the other participants. The flow started well until Baek got offended by one of the participants. He punched him, and they almost fought, but the doctors stopped them.

Woo Joo received a call from the social welfare of the hospital. She got fired from her part-time work doing stage therapy. She got furious, but Ji Seon calmed her down. She went to the hospital and rushed to the deputy director's office. She kneels to beg to get her back to work.

Meanwhile, Shi Joon was advised by the social welfare authorities about Woo Joo's case. He got the message that Woo Joo is in Oh's office. He rushed, and once inside, he grabbed Woo Joo's arm and ushered her outside. Woo Joo tried to resist, but Shi Joon insisted. Oh's curiosity took place and asked them if they were dating, Shi Joon looked back and with a firm voice, he said yes.
