"Backstreet Rookie" Premiere: Dae Hyun and Saet-byul Happily Serve Their Customers 24/7

Dae Hyun, with a bouquet in hand, is late for his expected date. While waiting for the bus, he rescued a small kitten trapped at the street drainage. By doing so, he missed the bus and in panic, as he needs to use his energy by foot. 

Running as fast as he can, he slightly bumps his arms with Saet-byul. She is also in a hurry to a group of female students in another place. It was a fast encounter but they looked at each other in a glance. 

Dae Hyun got rejected by his date. He met Saet-byul and her friends again on his way home. This time, she approached him and asked for a pack of cigarettes. Against with it, he gave them powdered candies instead. That was the last time he saw her. 

The GS25 convenience store is popular among young girl students. They would buy any on the day promo sale and gets a selfie picture with handsome Dae Hyun. The students would post on social media with the caption "handsome owner." His family owns the place, and he took the sole responsibility to manage it.

It's been 36 hours, where he only gets a quick nap, and as he watches the store, his mother asked him to get a part-time staff to help him. Later on, he was convinced about it and posted an ad outside the store.

Three years ago, Saet-byul was fascinated by Dae Hyun's charm. She saw the ad and applied for the job. She remembers him well and gave him a smack kiss on the lips the last time they met.

During Saet-byul's interview, Dae Hyun is already 40 hours awake, and he falls asleep at the table in no time. Saet-byul took the nightshift to watch the store until he wakes up the next day. There are now a lot of customers coming in as they enjoyed Saet-byul's service.

One morning, Dae Hyun realized that he lost a few hundred bucks in the cash register machine. He looks at the video camera and only saw Saet-byul standing in front of it the whole day. He suspected Saet-byul took the money. When she knew about it, she informed him that his mother took the money and expected that he will know from his mother instead.

He felt embarrassed about it. He made amends with Saet-byul as she arrived at the store. He cleaned the storage room, the oven, and the coffee machine. She was amused and liked Dae Hyun even more.

Saet-byul is working hard to support her younger sister Eun Byul. Things are not as easy in life. Her sister spends most of her time with her friends. Rather than making her grades improve, Saet-byul keeps on the eye wherever she goes.

Dae Hyun has a socialite and sexy girlfriend, working in a big company. He visited her and let Saet-byul watched the store while he was away. When he told Saet-byul about it, she remarked that someday he will have a change of heart and choose her. Dae Hyun laughed at her comment and went away.

That night, Saet-byul invited her friends to come over and enjoy the night drinking. She takes any drinks and food from the store and serves it. Dae Hyun knew about it when his good friend, who lives across the store, saw and heard loud laughter since the girls are drunk already. Dae Hyun rushed back to the store and found the three girls in a drinking spree.
